About The Position

The Store Manager in Training (SMIT) is a development-focused role designed to prepare candidates for a CVS Store Manager position. The 16-week, self-paced and collaborative program includes virtual and hands-on learning experiences. Development is supported by a District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and Store Manager coach. The SMIT supports the store as a member of the management team and leads in a manner consistent with CVS values and policies. Candidates are expected to engage in Key Learning Experiences, support the company’s purpose of helping people on their path to better health, and be willing to accept a promotion to Store Manager within the designated market.
