About The Position

The PHOENIX Internship Program is a 10-week, paid program for rising junior and senior undergraduates and graduate students. Interns work with experienced professionals, gain exposure to a multi-brand retail company, receive hands-on experience in an area of interest, collaborate cross-functionally, and develop professional skills. The Store Experience Internship supports the Express brand and is based at PHOENIX Retail, LLC’s Columbus, Ohio headquarters. The Summer 2027 program runs from June 2 to August 5, 2027. The program includes professional development workshops, networking and mentorship opportunities, a cross-functional group project, group outings, social events, and volunteer opportunities. Interns must work full-time, follow the four-days-in-office approach, relocate to the office location at their own expense, and commit to the full 10-week program. Housing accommodations are not provided.

Requirements

Be a rising junior or senior undergraduate student or a graduate student.
Be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week.
Be available to follow the four-days-in-office approach.
Relocate to the Columbus office location; housing accommodations are not provided.
Commit to the entire 10-week program, June 2 to August 5, 2027.
Be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States; the company does not sponsor work visas for this position.

Responsibilities

Proactively identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and enhance the customer and associate experience in stores.
Help develop and improve communications using associate inquiries and surveys, data, and analytics.
Identify opportunities and recommend process changes to improve internal and external efficiency.
Ensure field teams are properly supported to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
Partner cross-functionally on content ideas, messages, communication channels, and timing in accordance with brand standards for field leaders.
Lead cross-functional meetings to gather input, align participants, and follow up on progress in Holiday strategy.
