About The Position

Town Pump is seeking a motivated and outgoing Store Deli Manager. The role assists the store manager with supervisory decisions consistent with Town Pump standards, policies, and procedures, and supports planning, leadership, organization, and follow-up related to expenses, sales, food costs, and shortage controls. The manager sets an example for coworkers through professionalism, attitude, teamwork, and customer service; trains and develops employees; and oversees day-to-day deli operations, inventory, food preparation, sanitation, safety, and vendor orders. The position pays $18.25 plus a monthly bonus. Town Pump describes itself as a growing company with opportunities for career growth.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Complete and pass ServSafe certification, unless waived by the Deli Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

• Assist the store manager with supervisory decisions consistent with Town Pump standards, policies, and procedures.
• Assist with planning, leadership, organization, and follow-up involving controllable expenses, sales expenses, sales increases, food costs, and shortage controls.
• Set an exemplary example for coworkers in professionalism, attitude, teamwork, customer service, and convenience store operations.
• Conduct new employee orientation and training, promote employee development, and objectively document performance and conduct evaluations.
• Conduct daily walk-throughs; prioritize, organize, delegate, and follow up on tasks.
• Maintain accurate inventories; order and maintain deli merchandise; and achieve favorable deli metrics.
• Perform deli-area maintenance, including basic preventative maintenance and repairs of deli equipment.
• Follow sanitation procedures and maintain high food-preparation quality standards; prepare deli items and cook heated items as required.
• Promote kitchen and store safety.
• Check in deli vendors, cross-check orders, verify items by line number, put away received orders, and watch for miss-picks, incorrect pack sizes, and broken or open merchandise.
• Maintain PLUs and print lists for tills.
• Rotate products, keep them fresh, check expiration dates, and remove and discard unauthorized products.
• Complete and pass ServSafe certification unless waived by the Deli Operations Manager.
