STORE DELI MANAGER $17.75/hr. + Monthly Bonus
About The Position
Town Pump is seeking a motivated, outgoing Store Deli Manager. The manager assists the store manager with supervisory decisions and helps plan, lead, organize, and follow up on deli and store operations, including expenses, sales, food costs, and shortage controls. The role includes leading and developing employees, maintaining deli inventory and merchandise, preparing food, upholding sanitation and food quality standards, and promoting safety. The position pays $17.75 per hour plus a monthly bonus. A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is required. ServSafe certification must be completed and passed, although it may be waived by the Deli Operations Manager.

Responsibilities
- Assist the store manager with supervisory decisions consistent with Town Pump standards, policies, and procedures.
- Assist with planning, leadership, organization, and follow-up related to controllable expenses, sales expenses, sales increases, food costs, and shortage controls.
- Set a professional example for coworkers in attitude, teamwork, customer service, and convenience store operations.
- Conduct new employee orientation and training; promote employee development and objectively document performance and conduct evaluations.
- Conduct daily walk-throughs and prioritize, organize, delegate, and follow up on tasks.
- Maintain accurate inventories, order and maintain deli merchandise, and achieve favorable deli metrics.
- Perform deli-area maintenance, including basic preventative maintenance and repairs of deli equipment.
- Follow sanitation procedures and maintain high standards for food preparation; prepare deli items and cook heated items as required.
- Promote kitchen and store safety.
- Check in deli vendors, cross-check orders, verify items by line number, put away received orders, and watch for miss-picks, incorrect pack sizes, and broken or open merchandise.
- Maintain PLUs and print lists for tills.
- Rotate products, keep them fresh, check expiration dates, and remove and discard unauthorized products.
- Complete and pass ServSafe certification unless it is waived by the Deli Operations Manager.
