About The Position

The Seasonal Retail Store Associate is a limited-time role supporting increased summer business and tourism through Labor Day. In a customer-focused retail setting, the associate works independently and as part of a team to support customers and CVS Health’s purpose of helping people on their path to better health. This is a part-time position with 29 anticipated weekly hours.

The associate provides attentive customer service, performs cashier duties, maintains the sales floor, supports store opening and closing activities, and assists across departments such as photo and beauty. The role may also involve assisting pharmacy personnel, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Have close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs.
