Seasonal Store Associate
About The Position
As a Store Associate, you represent the Vera Bradley brand and work with store leadership to achieve sales goals while providing every guest with an excellent shopping experience and best-in-class customer service. You uphold Vera Bradley’s core values and help make the world a brighter place through every customer interaction. You recommend products to meet customers’ needs, support sales through add-on selling and customer outreach, and engage customers through product knowledge and team selling. You also carry out daily operational procedures, help maintain visual standards, and keep the store organized and inviting. Reliability and adherence to company policies and procedures are essential.
Requirements
- Enjoy interacting with people.
- Be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to support peak business needs.
- Be at least 16 years of age.
- Walk and stand constantly; bend, stoop, and reach frequently.
- Have strong sensory skills, including good eyesight, hearing, and dexterity.
- Consistently lift 10–35 lbs.; occasionally lift up to 55 lbs.; and be able to push or pull more than 55 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Suggest products suited to customers’ individual needs and drive store results through add-on selling and customer outreach.
- Create an exceptional in-store experience by engaging customers through product awareness and team selling.
- Execute and improve daily operational procedures, support visual standards, and maintain an organized and inviting store environment.
- Be reliable, uphold Vera Bradley’s core values, and follow company policies and procedures.
