About The Position

Binny's is seeking a full-time Store Associate for its wine staff. The associate helps customers select products, supports sales, and develops knowledge of wine and other store products. The role includes keeping the wine department and store organized and effectively merchandised by moving, stocking, and staging products, and may include assisting in other departments. On-the-job training and educational opportunities are provided to support career development in wine retail.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Good working knowledge of wine varietals, countries, and regions; entry-level knowledge will be considered.
Ability to taste wines professionally for educational purposes, as permitted.
Ability to lift 40–50 pounds.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Strong desire to provide superior customer service.
Ability to count cash and make change accurately.
Ability to operate business machines such as scanners and computer keyboards.
Ability to pass any applicable alcohol training class and maintain a current certification card.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and managers.
Ability to follow directions and complete assignments.
Ability to write legibly and read small type.
Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods and repeatedly walk up and down stairs.
Ability to work in cold areas and work scheduled hours.
Consistent and regular attendance.

Nice To Haves

Previous retail experience, experience in the wine and spirits industry, or hospitality industry is preferred.
