About The Position

Binny's is seeking a full-time wine store associate to support sales and provide knowledgeable, friendly customer service. The role involves assisting customers with selections, developing wine and product knowledge, and working with the team to keep the wine department and store organized and effectively merchandised. Duties may include moving, stocking, and staging products and assisting in other departments. On-the-job training and educational opportunities are provided to support a career in wine retail.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Good working knowledge of wine varietals, countries, and regions.
• Ability to taste wines professionally for educational purposes, as allowed.
• Ability to lift 40–50 pounds.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong desire to provide superior customer service.
• Ability to count cash and make change accurately.
• Ability to operate business machines such as scanners and computer keyboards.
• Ability to pass any applicable alcohol training class and maintain a current certification card.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and managers.
• Ability to follow directions and complete assignments.
• Ability to write legibly and read small type.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods and repeatedly walk up and down stairs.
• Ability to work in cold areas and work scheduled hours.
• Consistent and regular attendance.

Nice To Haves

• Previous retail experience, experience in the wine and spirits industry, or hospitality industry is preferred; candidates with entry-level knowledge will be considered.
