About The Position

This is a Full-Time position with a flexible work schedule, requiring at least one closing shift per week. The Store Administrative Assistant & Training Coordinator will be responsible for providing new hires with a detailed orientation, teaching and instilling Theisen Brand expectations to both new and existing associates with a positive and motivating attitude. This role involves ensuring associates are familiar with company policies and procedures, mentoring them on selling skills, product knowledge, and customer interaction techniques, and assisting with required paperwork and training records. The position also focuses on promoting a comfortable work environment through positive communication and motivation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Basic math skills
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently

  • Ability to work required shifts including nights and weekends, and maintain attendance standards.

Nice To Haves

  • 6-12 months of training experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide a detailed orientation for new hires.
  • Teach and instill Theisen Brand expectations to new and existing associates.
  • Ensure associates are familiar with company policies and procedures.
  • Mentor associates on selling skills, product knowledge, and customer interaction techniques.
  • Assist with required paperwork and maintain training records.
  • Promote a comfortable work environment through positive communication and motivation.
  • Act as a "Brand Ambassador" for Theisen’s.
  • Assist the Store Manager with hiring duties such as scheduling interviews, background checks, and ordering uniforms.
  • Perform onboarding functions such as scheduling and conducting new hire orientations.
  • Ensure timely completion of new hire paperwork and follow up on missing items.
  • Introduce associates to software such as Dayforce and 8th Street.
  • Conduct Brand Expectation meetings and train associates to provide brand quality customer service.
  • Carry out training directives from management or the Training Manager.
  • Schedule appropriate departmental training and ensure completion of checklists and hands-on training.
  • Assist management with introducing associates to new procedures.
  • Monitor ongoing associate training needs and schedule training time to assure completion.
  • Update training documentation as needed.
  • Utilize the Learning Management System (8th St) for reports, observation checklists, and monitoring associate progress.
  • Identify and train on recurring mystery shop issues.
  • Demonstrate awareness and compliance with Loss Prevention and safety policies.
  • Perform opening/closing functions when needed.
  • Perform bookkeeping duties when needed.
  • Attend training sessions at the corporate office.
  • Assist with other tasks delegated by management, including pricing, signage, and cashiering.
