About The Position

The Stocking Associate performs merchandise stocking duties in both Receiving and on the Sales Floor. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by maintaining merchandise availability, back stock, pricing, and a clean work area. The associate works under general supervision, follows established procedures, and uses occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and recommend improvements to work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, co-workers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
• Ability to read label descriptions and stock merchandise by UPC codes.
• Ability to constantly move, lift, and carry objects up to 50 pounds; occasionally move objects up to 100 pounds or more.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods and repeatedly use wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Ability to occasionally use ladders, stairs, ramps, machinery, and/or power tools, and work in confined spaces, temperature extremes, outdoor elements, noisy environments, or hazardous conditions.

Responsibilities

• Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience for customers.
• Organize and manage back stock daily.
• Replenish product on shelves and in back stock according to merchandising guidelines.
• Unload trucks as needed.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and plan-o-grams.
• Assist with pricing maintenance and signing.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow all Company Policies and Procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
