About The Position

The Sales Outfitter provides counter sales and customer service for non-firearms hunting and archery merchandise. The role also supports sales of floor hunting and archery merchandise by greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise carefully, and providing information, assistance, and direction.

The position supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by identifying customers’ needs, recommending products, promoting programs such as CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup, and demonstrating products. Other work includes organizing and replenishing merchandise, maintaining product knowledge, keeping up with advertised sales, pricing and signage, assisting with seasonal merchandise moves, and keeping the work area clean and stocked. The role follows company policies and procedures and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of experience in retail.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Customer service and sales knowledge for non-firearms hunting and archery merchandise.
• GCA knowledge.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Provide counter sales and customer service for non-firearms hunting and archery merchandise.
• Greet and acknowledge customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handle merchandise with care, and provide information, assistance, and direction.
• Identify and evaluate customer needs and recommend products based on that assessment.
• Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain non-firearms merchandise at the gun counter and on the retail floor.
• Replenish products on shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
