About The Position

The Stocking Associate performs merchandise stocking duties in Receiving and on the Sales Floor. The role supports a strong commitment to world-class customer service and helps ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience. The associate works under general supervision using established procedures and innovation, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and other associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, co-workers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
• Ability to read label descriptions and stock merchandise by UPC codes.
• Ability to move, lift, and carry objects up to 50 pounds; occasionally move objects up to 100 pounds or more.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods and perform repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Ability to occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps; operate machinery and/or power tools; and work in tight or confined spaces, small or enclosed spaces, low or high temperatures, outdoor elements, noisy environments, or hazardous conditions.

Responsibilities

• Organize and manage back stock daily.
• Replenish product on shelves and in back stock according to merchandising guidelines.
• Unload trucks as needed.
• Maintain product knowledge through ongoing training.
• Stay knowledgeable about advertised sales and plan-o-grams.
• Assist with pricing maintenance and signing.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
