About The Position

The Stocking Associate performs merchandise stocking duties in Receiving and on the Sales Floor. The role supports a world-class customer service commitment and helps provide customers with a pleasant, productive shopping experience. Associates organize back stock, replenish merchandise, unload trucks as needed, maintain product knowledge, and assist with pricing and signing. The position works under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized point-of-sale register system.
• Ability to read label descriptions and stock merchandise by UPC codes.

Responsibilities

• Support world-class customer service and ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience for customers.
• Organize and manage back stock daily.
• Replenish products on shelves and in back stock according to merchandising guidelines.
• Unload trucks as needed.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Stay knowledgeable about advertised sales and plan-o-grams.
• Assist with pricing maintenance and signing.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
