About The Position

The Merchandise Stocking Associate helps deliver a highly satisfactory customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience practices, and maintaining a clean, organized store. The role follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate processes and prepares merchandise for the sales floor, maintains merchandising and recovery standards, supports store shrink-reduction and safety programs, and may ring up purchases and returns. The role also promotes credit and loyalty programs, contributes to a positive store culture, and follows company policies and applicable labor laws. This is a temporary, part-time position at TJ Maxx Store 1327 in Oxford, Ohio. Starting pay is $13.50–$14.00 per hour; actual pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver a highly satisfactory customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and following customer experience principles.
Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards, and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
