About The Position

The Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with customers, embodying customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean, organized store. The role follows operational, merchandising, and loss prevention standards and may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect, and adheres to labor laws, company policies, and procedures. The position is part-time and temporary at Marshalls Store 1625 in Pekin, Illinois. Starting pay is $15.00 to $15.50 per hour; actual pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and participate in maintaining and cleaning the entire store.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
