About The Position

The Temporary Part Time Merchandise Associate delivers a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience practices, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The role follows operational, merchandising, safety, and loss-prevention standards and may involve cross-training in multiple areas to meet business needs. Responsibilities also include processing sales-floor merchandise, operating the register, supporting store recovery and shrink-reduction efforts, and contributing to a positive store culture.

Responsibilities

• Role-model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns, and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
