About The Position

The Stocking Associate / Merchandiser helps build the company’s brand by delivering excellent customer service, maximizing product inventory, and supporting online business operations. The role primarily focuses on merchandising, but may also include sales, front-end, or other responsibilities as needed. Internally, the position is referred to as Merchandiser and reports to the store management team. The role involves processing, organizing, distributing, pulling, and stocking inventory; building displays and end caps; placing signage; and supporting digital orders, in-store and curbside pickup, and delivery services when assigned. Team members provide personalized customer service, build product knowledge through wine, spirits, and beer training, stay informed about promotions and loyalty programs, and maintain store safety, cleanliness, and compliance with alcohol-related laws. This part-time position requires flexibility to work as business needs require, including evenings and weekends. Physical requirements include standing and walking for extended periods, repeated bending, handling cases and pallets, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 pounds overhead. The role may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Applicants must be at least 21 years old.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older.
Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires, including evenings and weekends.
Ability to walk, bend repeatedly, and remain on feet for 8–10 hours a day.
Ability to safely lift, load, and handle cases and pallets.
Ability to climb ladders and repeatedly lift 50 pounds overhead.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
1–3 years of experience; 1 or more years of retail experience preferred.
Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.

Responsibilities

Maximize product inventory by processing freight, organizing and distributing inventory, pulling and stocking merchandise, building displays and end caps, and placing signage.
Support digital business operations by fulfilling orders and assisting with in-store and curbside pickup and delivery services, including driving and making deliveries if assigned.
Deliver excellent customer service by greeting customers, building relationships, and informing them about products and services.
Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
Maintain store safety and cleanliness standards.
Ensure adherence to laws and regulations related to alcohol sales and maintain a safe, compliant store environment.
Complete cross-functional responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
If delivery is an essential job function, load and deliver orders safely and professionally in accordance with company policies, procedures, and traffic and safety laws.
