About The Position

The Stocker monitors and maintains product areas to ensure merchandise is stocked, rotated, fresh, attractively displayed, correctly priced, and easy for customers to access. The role includes receiving and checking deliveries, maintaining inventory, completing merchandise ordering build-to’s, verifying invoices and discrepancies, and preparing in-store displays. The Stocker also provides courteous customer service, helps address routine customer concerns, and maintains safe, clean store areas and equipment. Additional duties include attending job-related meetings, assisting with inventory and shift audits, supporting team workflow, and performing other duties as assigned by the Store Manager. The position works with minimal direction and periodic supervision.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old.
Ability to work as scheduled and arrive on time.
Ability to communicate information and ideas so others understand.
Ability to perform the essential duties and physical functions described in the job posting.
Ability to work in the conditions described in the job posting.
Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead and up to 50 pounds from ground to waist.
Ability to grasp, reach, and manipulate objects with hands throughout the shift, including eye-hand coordination.
Ability to push or pull with the arms using up to 20 pounds of force.
Ability to reach overhead, bend and twist at the waist, stoop, kneel, squat, push, and pull.
Ability to communicate orally and operate a cash register and/or computer keyboard.
Ability to work alone and stand and/or walk for an entire shift.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
Experience in retail sales.
Ability to perform the four basic arithmetic operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

Monitor product areas and ensure products are stocked, rotated, fresh, attractively displayed, and accessible to customers.
Ensure grocery deliveries are accurate, stocked, displayed, and priced according to company guidelines.
Complete build-to’s for ordering or purchasing merchandise.
Check in deliveries, price items, and stock merchandise according to the schematic.
Verify delivery invoices, review discrepancies with the Store Manager, and bring outdated merchandise to the Store Manager for review.
Assemble, date, and price-mark in-store displays.
Provide prompt, courteous, friendly, and attentive customer service; greet customers and thank them as they leave.
Resolve or help resolve routine customer concerns within established guidelines.
Arrive at work on time and follow the dress and appearance code.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including sweeping and mopping floors; cleaning windows, counters, displays, store areas, and bathrooms; and disposing of trash and debris.
Inspect store facilities and equipment for safety, cleanliness, and proper working order; clean and check equipment and work aids.
Attend job-related meetings, which may require working irregular hours.
Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels and conducting shift audits.
Maintain intradepartmental workflow and contribute to team efforts.
Perform duties with minimal supervision and complete other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
Clean parking lots and gas pumps, remove garbage, and perform other required outdoor cleaning.
