Stock Associate - Part Time - (Flamingo LV)
About The Position
The Stock Associate supports retail operations at the Flamingo by receiving, processing, transporting, and replenishing merchandise and supplies. The role also maintains stock areas, completes inventory-related tasks, supports store transfers and special events, and provides courteous service to guests and coworkers. The work takes place in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with frequent interaction with staff and the public and is physically demanding. The associate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, push and pull heavy loads, and stand for 90% of the day. Shifts may vary based on business needs.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- At least 1 year of customer service experience.
- At least 1 year of retail stock experience.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of basic math.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds, push and pull heavy loads, and stand for 90% of the day.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment involving constant interaction with staff and the public.
- Ability to tolerate secondary tobacco smoke.
Responsibilities
- Maintain uniform standards, including wearing a clean, neatly pressed uniform and name tag.
- Maintain customer service standards, acknowledge and greet guests, create a friendly atmosphere, and demonstrate the specified service behaviors.
- Know the Total Rewards program, hotel property, and available amenities.
- Communicate daily activities to the next shift and the Supervisor on Duty, respond to pages promptly, and work cooperatively with other associates.
- Follow attendance and punctuality guidelines and clock in and out according to the schedule.
- Receive shipments and daily merchandise deliveries, unpack items, and put them away or transfer them.
- Receive DDS shipments and report discrepancies to the Supervisor on Duty.
- Deliver and replenish sodas; receive Pepsi, liquor, wine, beer, and loading-dock requisitions.
- Follow the delivery schedule and transport merchandise from the receiving dock to store locations, including stocking coolers and moving stock from remote storage where needed.
- Ensure stores receive necessary supplies such as bags, tissue, and bubble wrap.
- Complete stock counts and on-hand logs as requested, maintain stock areas, and report overstock or out-of-stock items.
- Monitor alcohol and beer inventory and assist with ordering where applicable.
- Assist with store-to-store transfers.
- Keep stock rooms clean and uncluttered, report maintenance concerns, and collect and dispose of trash where applicable.
- Attend mandatory meetings and training sessions and complete assignments as directed by the Supervisor on Duty.
- Assist with associate sales, inventories, and special events as requested.
- Handle intoxicated guests professionally.
