About The Position

The Cage Cashier safeguards company assets while following company policies, departmental procedures, and applicable gaming regulations. The role requires accurate financial transactions and exceptional customer service. The position is associated with Flamingo Las Vegas, Harrah’s Las Vegas, and The LINQ Las Vegas.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to obtain a Nevada Gaming License.
• Must be able to obtain a Sheriff’s card.
• Provide excellent guest service and present oneself as an example of excellence to the department.
• Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to departmental and company guidelines.
• Have manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including 10-key adding machines, PC computers, fax machines, and photocopy machines.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Stand for long, extended periods.
• Lift up to 35 pounds.
• Push and pull heavy carts on the casino floor.
• Bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working in the assigned area.
• Respond to visual and aural cues.
• Work in moderate to loud noise conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and efficient customer service in accordance with established standards.
• Accurately process customer transactions, including exchanging chips and cash equivalents for cash.
• Perform cage functions, including establishing and verifying customer credit lines, communicating credit information to appropriate personnel, and executing pit fills and credits.
• Collaborate with team members within the department and across other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Perform cage cashier functions including cage marker issuance and redemption; front money deposits and withdrawals; customer incentives; Title 31; R/S ticket redemptions; answering telephones; travelers’ checks; issuing Total Rewards cards; wire transfers; casino credit applications; self-redemption units; chip redemptions; check cashing; credit card cash advances; coupon redemption; Fast Cash redemption; bank accountabilities; foreign currency; and foreign chips.
• Protect company assets and support cross-departmental needs as required.
