About The Position

The Stewarding position is a crucial part of the kitchen, helping ensure successful culinary experiences through sanitized, well-maintained equipment and facilities. The primary focus is keeping the kitchen clean, organizing the restaurant and back-of-house area, and assisting with food preparation as needed.

The role includes operating dishwashing machines, hand-washing specific items, storing clean dishes and equipment, ensuring clean serviceware is available during busy periods, and reporting machine issues promptly. Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean kitchen and properly organize the restaurant and back-of-house area.
• Assist with food preparation as needed.
• Load and unload dishwashing machines.
• Hand-wash specified items, including wooden cutting boards, large pots, and delicate china.
• Store clean dishes, glasses, and equipment appropriately.
• Ensure enough clean dishes, glasses, and utensils are available, especially during peak hours.
• Check dishwashing machine operation and promptly report technical or performance issues.
