About The Position

The Steward ensures the cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas and the proper care and maintenance of restaurant equipment and utensils. By supporting culinary and service teams, this role promotes a safe, sanitary, and efficient environment that contributes to exceptional guest experiences.

The role includes cleaning floors and kitchen surfaces; washing dishes, cookware, trays, and glassware; handling trash and recyclables; polishing silverware; transporting supplies; assisting with banquet table setup and basic food preparation; and keeping designated storage areas clean and organized. Other duties may be assigned.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous stewarding, kitchen support, or hospitality experience is preferred. A background check must be successfully completed before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in stewarding, kitchen support, or hospitality.
• Familiarity with commercial dishwashing equipment and cleaning procedures.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors regularly.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, trays, and glassware by hand or using dishwashing equipment.
• Clean and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators, and other kitchen surfaces.
• Dispose of trash and garbage properly and clean and maintain garbage cans.
• Sort and process bottles and other recyclables.
• Polish silverware and utensils as needed.
• Transport supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Assist with banquet table setup when required.
• Wash and peel vegetables or assist with basic food preparation as needed.
• Store and rotate stock in designated areas while maintaining cleanliness and organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
