Steward (Part Time)
About The Position
Culinaire is hiring a part-time Steward at Shula's 347 Grille in Lake Mary, Florida. The position maintains kitchen work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. No previous experience is required, and training is available. Days and hours may vary; open availability, including nights, is required. The pay rate is $16.00 to $17.00 per hour. Culinaire provides upscale food and beverage management services across a diverse portfolio of venues. Requirements
- No previous experience is required; training is available.
- Open availability, including nights, is required.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Sweep and mop floors at appropriate intervals to comply with safety and sanitation standards.
- Operate large electric machines, including dishwashers, sanitizers, trash compactors, and glass crushers.
- Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other assigned food-preparation surfaces.
- Sort and remove trash and garbage and place it in designated containers.
- Steam-clean or hose out garbage cans in assigned areas.
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and food-preparation machines and equipment.
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas while observing safe lifting standards.
- Assist with banquet table and front-of-house setup as requested.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and delivering supplies and products.
- Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment as needed.
- Comply with sanitation and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
