Requirements

  • Previous upscale hotel experience required
  • A minimum formal education of a high school diploma
  • Should have current Food Handlers Certification
  • Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal
  • Excellent customer service focus and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Properly washing and sanitizing all tableware, pots & pans, and utensils.
  • Stocking all areas with glassware and supplies.
  • Burnishing all silverware.
  • Assisting in maintaining The Belgrove Resort’s standards.
  • Providing exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times.
  • Exemplifying The Belgrove Resort’s culture.
  • Ensuring dishes are sanitized and available as needed.
  • Keeping sanitation solutions up to company codes.
  • Washing dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand.
  • Placing clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas.
  • Polishing silver and copper.
  • Assisting in inventory of china, glassware, and silver.
  • Maintaining proper placement and organization of pots, pans, and utensils.
  • Maintaining proper storage of dish dollies, glass racks, and flatware.
  • Maintaining kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
  • Stocking supplies such as food and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, etc.
  • Sorting and removing trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
  • Working diligently to avoid breakage and loss.
  • Ensuring that all dishes and utensils are properly stocked and stored.
  • Providing general resort information for guests.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events.
  • Interacting with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments when necessary.
  • Attending mandatory monthly department meetings and appropriate resort and division meetings.
  • Maintaining a constant awareness of safety issues (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks, and suspicious persons).
  • Reporting all safety incidents to the on-duty supervisor.
  • Acting with responsibility towards all company property, supplies, and equipment.
  • Reporting to work on time as designated by the posted schedule.
  • Maintaining a professional appearance.
  • Remaining alert, courteous, and helpful to the guests and colleagues.
