About The Position

The Dishwasher | Steward cleans and sanitizes dishes and kitchenware, maintains kitchen cleanliness, assists with deliveries and setup, and follows food-safety and sanitation practices. The role requires working in a hot, humid kitchen and safely handling cleaning chemicals and dishwashing equipment. Employment is available full-time or part-time, with flexible scheduling. Employment is contingent on successfully completing a background check.

Requirements

• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
• Able to push and pull carts, racks, and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Able to work in a hot, humid, fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Able to safely handle cleaning chemicals and operate dishwashing equipment.
• Successful completion of a background check is required for employment.

Responsibilities

• Operate the dishwashing machine to clean and sanitize dishes, trays, silverware, glassware, pots, and pans.
• Scrape, separate, and organize items before washing.
• Monitor and record dish-machine temperatures and immediately report low temperatures or malfunctions.
• Set up and use a three-compartment sink to clean and sanitize pots and pans.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation, including sweeping and mopping floors and removing trash.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing food and supply deliveries.
• Follow proper food-handling procedures to ensure food safety.
• Support dining and serving area setup as needed.
• Perform duties in accordance with food-safety and sanitation best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
