Dishwasher/Steward
About The Position
Hotel Viking in Newport, Rhode Island, is seeking a Steward to support its culinary team and help maintain clean, organized, and efficient kitchen operations. The role involves washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment; maintaining the kitchen and dishwashing area; assisting with food preparation and plating as needed; and handling and storing food and supplies properly. The Steward is expected to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, collaborate with team members to support a smooth workflow, and bring a positive, energetic attitude, commitment to excellence, and attention to detail to a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Ability to lift 25+ pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a Steward or in a similar role is preferred.
