About The Position

Marriott Syracuse Downtown is seeking a Dishwasher in its Banquets department. The role is responsible for cleaning, transporting, and storing china, glassware, and silverware, and maintaining cleanliness in kitchen areas and the back dock. The Dishwasher helps ensure the kitchen can provide excellent service to guests by keeping dishes and equipment clean.

The position requires maintaining hotel standards for work procedures, dress, grooming, punctuality, and attendance. The successful candidate is open to change and learning, can problem-solve, and asks questions when unsure. Requirements

• Experience handling high volumes of dishes.
• Flexible availability, including days, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness in the dishroom, kitchen aisle, and dock area.
• Break down trays, set up the dish machine, wash dishware, and sort and store clean china, glassware, and silverware according to proper procedures.
• Empty trashcans and wash their interiors and exteriors.
• Break down the dish machine and clean its interior and exterior.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
