Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Demonstrates commitment to Valencia Group Hospitality operating principles and philosophies.
Holds self and others accountable for achieving results.
Notify Chefs of conflict in a timely manner.
Deals with change effectively.
Always applies the principles of trust, honesty, respect, integrity and commitment.
Helps to establish confidence in the culinary team among peers throughout the hotel and throughout Valencia Group.
Ensure to comply with maintaining a safe environment (for example, be proactive with safety initiatives such as using non-slip shoes, keeping clean, organize work area, using wet floor signs, etc.)
Processing, cutting food products.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Effective time management and problem-solving skills
Ability to work well with a team and demonstrate attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal abilities

Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting the Chefs with the cleanliness of the kitchen.
Wash all floors, power wash when need be.
Clean the hot boxes regularly.
Make sure all dishes and equipment are clean and put back in their proper place.
Take out trash and break down boxes.
Sweep and mop all walk-in coolers, all kitchen areas and back banquet are.
Assist Chefs with banquet plate up and ensure that they have clean plates and clean covers for event.
Maintain a safe, clean operating environment, ensuring compliance to all local health codes and regulations.
Contributes to team results.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas.
Display courteous behavior with guests and team members.
Report any unsafe conditions immediately.
Ensure hotel equipment is in proper working condition.
Perform any additional duties assigned by the supervisor.
