About The Position

The Steward/Dishwasher cleans dishes and kitchenware in a food service environment to ensure the kitchen has a steady supply of clean plates, bowls, silverware, pots, pans, and glasses. The role also includes prep work, maintaining clean and organized work areas, and supporting the hotel team and guests with friendly service. Team members are expected to follow MCR’s standards for cleanliness, hospitality, product consistency, and teamwork, and may be assigned other job-related duties as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to provide friendly service to guests.
• Flexible availability for days, nights, holidays, and weekends, based on hotel demands.
• Arrive and clock in on time for each shift and follow scheduled clock-in and clock-out procedures.
• Clock in and out for breaks at the designated times.
• Provide sufficient notice to the supervisor when calling out for a scheduled shift.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including sustained standing, walking, repetitive wrist, hand, or finger motions, and lifting items.

• Experience in hospitality, service, a consumer-facing franchise, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize loads of different types of crockery and kitchenware.
• Hand-wash dishes that may not fit in the dishwasher.
• Load and unload the dishwasher.
• Place dishes to dry.
• Sort and put away clean dishes and cutlery.
• Perform prep work.
• Take garbage and trash to the dumpster area.
• Provide table-bussing assistance as needed.
• Wash work areas, refrigerators, cooking equipment, walls, and floors.
• Assemble, maintain, and break down the dish machine.
• Keep workspaces clean, organized, and safe.
• Greet guests in a friendly manner and support guest satisfaction.
• Complete operational checklists accurately and at designated times.
• Communicate professionally and work collaboratively with team members.
