About The Position

The Kitchen Steward is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of the kitchen, including dishes, tableware, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils, using manual and machine cleaning methods. The role also involves maintaining equipment and meeting cleanliness standards set by the company, the Health Department, and OSHA.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and managers.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.
• May be required to use constant hand motions, kneel, walk, reach, bend, or stretch, and repetitively lift up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning projects as directed by supervisors.
• Wash, stack, and store china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and containers.
• Keep the dish area organized and free of clutter.
• Clean floor mats and sweep and mop kitchen floors.
• Sanitize garbage cans and maintain an inventory of supplies.
• Promptly report equipment malfunctions.
• Assist kitchen personnel as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness standards set by the company, the Health Department, and OSHA.
