About The Position

Join the kitchen team and help keep kitchen operations running smoothly by cleaning and sanitizing dishes, maintaining the dishwashing area, and supporting chefs and other kitchen staff. This non-exempt role pays $16–$18 per hour. Candidates must be at least 18 years old due to scheduling requirements, operating hours, and compliance considerations. Requirements

Previous dishwasher or kitchen steward experience in a high-volume environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation standards.
Availability to work weekends and holidays.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment and tools.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, and reach for long periods.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

Load, operate, and unload the dishwasher with utensils, glassware, cookware, plates, and trays efficiently.
Ensure dishes are clean and sanitized before placing them on dish racks.
Keep the dishwasher area clean and organized and ensure the wash cycle is sanitary and operating properly.
Mop and sanitize the dish room, kitchen floors, and dining room hallways; remove trash at the end of each shift.
Sanitize work areas and follow safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations.
Follow all safety procedures.
Assist with deliveries and basic food preparation tasks.
Safely operate the trash compactor and keep its area clean.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with kitchen team members to maintain an efficient workflow.
Perform other duties as assigned.
