About The Position
We are seeking a passionate and engaging STEAM After School Instructor to lead our 3D Printing & Flight Aerodynamics program for students in PreK-6th grade. This role involves teaching hands-on, project-based lessons on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM, from September through November. The instructor will be responsible for creating a fun and educational environment where students can explore STEAM concepts.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a formal or informal educational setting.
- Knowledge of STEAM concepts, particularly 3D printing and basic aerodynamics.
- Ability to create and deliver engaging lesson plans.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with 3D printing software and hardware.
- Background in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
- Teaching certification or degree in a related field.
- Experience with curriculum development.
Responsibilities
- Lead and instruct students in 3D Printing and Flight Aerodynamics.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for the specified grade levels.
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe learning environment.
- Provide hands-on guidance and support to students during activities.
- Communicate with program coordinators regarding student progress and any issues.
- Prepare materials and set up the classroom before each session.
- Clean up the classroom after each session.
