About The Position

We are seeking a passionate and engaging STEAM After School Instructor to lead classes for K-5th grade students. This role involves facilitating hands-on learning experiences in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics within a typical 60-minute block schedule, Monday through Friday, between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM. The instructor will be responsible for delivering program content at our Sacramento, CA 95835 location.

Requirements

• Experience working with children in a K-5th grade setting.
• Knowledge and passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM).
• Ability to manage a classroom and engage young learners.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Ability to work Monday - Friday between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
• Must be able to work in Sacramento, CA 95835.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a teacher or camp counselor.
• Background in a specific STEAM field.
• Experience with curriculum development or lesson planning.
• First Aid/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and instruct K-5th grade students in STEAM-related activities.
• Facilitate engaging and hands-on learning experiences.
• Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe learning environment.
• Prepare and organize materials for each class session.
• Adapt teaching methods to suit different age groups and learning styles.

• Oversee activities during mini-camps and field trips as needed.
