About The Position
We are seeking a passionate and engaging STEAM After School Instructor to lead our PreK-4th grade classes. This role involves facilitating hands-on learning experiences in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. The instructor will be responsible for creating a fun and educational environment where young students can explore and develop their skills in STEAM subjects.
Requirements
- Experience working with young children (PreK-4th grade).
- Knowledge and passion for STEAM subjects.
- Ability to create and deliver engaging lesson plans.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as an after-school instructor.
- Background in education or a related field.
- Experience with specific STEAM tools or software.
Responsibilities
- Lead and instruct STEAM-focused classes for PreK-4th grade students.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with STEAM curriculum.
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe learning environment.
- Provide a positive and encouraging atmosphere for all students.
- Communicate effectively with program coordinators regarding class progress and any issues.
