About The Position

The STEAM After School Instructor will lead engaging and educational STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) activities for students in PreK through 3rd grade. This role involves planning and executing hands-on lessons that foster creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. The instructor will be responsible for managing the classroom environment, ensuring student safety, and providing a positive learning experience. Classes are held Monday through Friday from 3:45 PM to 4:30 PM, with the program running from September to December.

Requirements

• Experience working with young children (PreK-3rd grade).
• Knowledge of STEAM concepts and activities.
• Ability to manage a classroom environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Ability to plan and execute engaging lessons.

Nice To Haves

• Background in education or a related field.
• Experience in curriculum development.
• Familiarity with specific STEAM tools and technologies.
• First Aid/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate STEAM activities for PreK-3rd grade students.
