About The Position
We are seeking a passionate and engaging STEAM - After School Instructor to lead classes for students in grades K-5. This role involves teaching various programs including Woodcraft, Electronic Game Design, Little Engineers, RoboCoding, and Virtual Reality. The program runs from September to November, with classes held on Mondays and Thursdays from 2:40 PM to 4:30 PM at our Arlington, MA 02474 site.
Requirements
- Experience in teaching or instructing children, preferably in a STEAM-related field.
- Knowledge of Woodcraft, Electronic Game Design, Little Engineers, RoboCoding, and/or Virtual Reality.
- Ability to manage a classroom of K-5th grade students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual for scheduled class times.
- Must be available on Mondays and Thursdays from 2:40 PM to 4:30 PM.
- Must be available from September to November.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with curriculum development for after-school programs.
- Background in multiple STEAM disciplines.
- Experience with educational technology and virtual reality platforms.
Responsibilities

- Manage classroom activities and ensure a safe and engaging learning environment.
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to suit the K-5th grade level.

- Prepare materials and set up for classes.
- Oversee program activities from September to November.
