About The Position

The Steakhouse Busser-Runner provides exceptional service to internal guests, maintains tables by bussing dishes and resetting them, and assists servers by running food and presenting dishes. The role also involves keeping the work station clean. Employees must be able to meet the role’s physical and sensory demands and work in a loud, smoke-filled environment with occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age to apply; the posting also states 18 in parentheses.
• High school diploma or GED, or experience in lieu of education.
• One to three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to perform arithmetic using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
• Must qualify for licensing with the West Virginia Racing Commission.
• Must obtain proper Food Handler Certification.
• Must be TIPS certified; training and certification are provided during New Hire Orientation at company expense.
• Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb or balance, talk or hear, and taste or smell regularly; occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Must have close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional guest service to all internal guests.
