STNA - State Tested Nursing Assistant - Day Shift
About The Position
Carmel Manor is a faith-based, nonprofit short-term rehabilitation and skilled geriatric care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm. The facility describes its mission as treating staff and residents with love and respect and seeks a full-time State Tested Nursing Assistant. Shifts are available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Compensation is $20 to $25.50 per hour based on experience, plus hourly shift differentials. The position is described as having a 20-minute commute from downtown Cincinnati. The nursing assistant supports residents’ comfort and well-being through personal care, meal assistance, transportation, bed and linen care, and limited nursing procedures performed with proper instruction and supervision. The role also includes responding to resident signal lights and measuring and recording vital signs, intake and output, and specimens. A criminal record check is required by state law as a condition of employment for this type of work.
Requirements
- Current certification in the State of Kentucky as a Nurse’s Aide.
- CPR certification required.

- Nurse’s Aide experience in long-term care is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Answer resident signal lights.
- Bathe and dress residents and assist with personal hygiene to support their comfort and well-being.
- Provide hair and nail care and assist residents with dental hygiene.
- Serve and collect food trays, check diet orders, and feed residents as needed.
- Transport residents to and from the dining area.
- Make beds and change bed linen daily.
- Perform limited nursing procedures as outlined, with proper instruction and supervision.
- Take and record vital signs; measure and record intake and output; collect specimens; and perform other tasks.
