About The Position
Create the Starbucks experience for Food City shoppers by providing prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable environment. Provide courteous customer service in support of the company mission, take and fulfill customer orders, prepare and stock Starbucks products, and maintain product quality and safety. Engage customers with product information and suggestive selling, process register transactions, and consistently prepare beverages, whole bean products, and food according to recipe and presentation standards. Follow company food-safety, food-handling, equipment, and safety procedures, and attend on-site work during scheduled shifts in accordance with time and attendance policies.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
- Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks and interact with individuals at various levels on a daily basis.
- Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts in accordance with company time and attendance policies.
Nice To Haves
- Food service or coffee experience is a plus, but is not required.
- Ability to learn to mix a wide variety of coffee and tea products and the ingredients used in various products.
Responsibilities
- Provide efficient and courteous customer service.
- Take customer orders and ensure they are completed promptly and to customers’ satisfaction.
- Prepare, bag, pour, and stock Starbucks products; rotate items to maintain quality and safety.
- Maintain a positive and friendly attitude toward customers and fellow associates.
- Engage with customers, provide product information, use suggestive selling techniques, and sample products.
- Process cash-register transactions using the POS system.
- Prepare quality beverages, whole bean products, and food consistently according to recipe and presentation standards.
- Represent the culture, values, and mission of Food City and Starbucks with integrity, honesty, and knowledge.
- Operate tools and equipment while following routine and safety procedures.
- Follow company food-safety and food-handling procedures.
- Attend on-site work during scheduled shifts and follow company time and attendance policies.
