About The Position

As a Starbucks Barista, you prepare coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other menu items using established recipes and procedures, maintaining consistent quality and presentation. You help create a positive customer experience by greeting customers, taking orders, answering questions, and responding to requests. You keep the work area clean, safe, and organized; restock supplies; and ensure equipment and service areas are ready for ongoing use. You work with team members to maintain smooth workflows, particularly during busy periods. The role involves standing for extended periods, lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 pounds, and working in varying temperature environments.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to provide friendly, timely, and helpful customer service and respond to customer requests and questions.
• Familiarity with preparing coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and related products using established methods.
• Ability to follow recipes and procedures accurately.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple orders, and maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
• Familiarity with safe food and beverage handling, sanitation practices, and safety guidelines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with changing service demands.
• Ability to safely operate espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment according to established guidelines.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move items of varying weight up to 50 pounds, and work in varying temperature environments.
• Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
