About The Position

Aviata Health Group is seeking a patient- and employee-focused Staffing Coordinator to join its community in Greenacres, Florida. The coordinator supports nursing operations by preparing staff schedules and staffing reports, arranging coverage, monitoring nursing hours, and communicating about patient census and admissions. The role is suited to a team-oriented person who is interested in helping build facility culture and improve systems and processes.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent, at minimum.
• Qualified, compassionate, and dedicated to a job well done.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree preferred, but not required.
• At least one year of experience in the position in a long-term care or other medical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete schedules for nursing staff.
• Complete daily staffing sheets.
• Interact with employees to cover daily staffing requirements.
• Secure coverage for vacant shifts and open positions, and arrange coverage for vacations as directed by the Director of Nursing.
• Prepare and complete the daily nursing hours report for the Executive Director/LNHA.
• Calculate daily nursing hours to meet PPD requirements and maintain a log of daily and month-to-date PPD.
• Communicate daily with admissions regarding census and patient admission and discharge status.
• Review each employee’s daily punch detail report, verify hours worked, correct errors, and identify trends.
• Create and implement ideas and concepts to continually improve systems and processes and achieve superior results.
