About The Position

The Staffing Assistant is a primary role in the Elwood Staffing branch, supporting branch operations, customer service, strategic objectives, and business development activities. The position greets visitors, schedules and responds to inquiries, and processes applicants and working associates. Employees are expected to support the company mission and provide superior customer service in all aspects of the job.

Requirements

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Ability to work cross-functionally to communicate proactively and resolve issues with a strong sense of urgency.
Ability to stay organized, determined, and detail-oriented, and to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a customer service role is preferred.

Responsibilities

Support service operations to help achieve 100% on-time order fulfillment.
Greet visitors, determine the nature of their business, and direct them to appropriate staff members.
Answer incoming phone calls, assess their nature and urgency, and take appropriate action.
Distribute and manage incoming mail.
Coordinate applicant traffic throughout intake and interviews.
Manage the new-hire process and ensure required documents are completed appropriately.
Administer pre-employment tests and enter results according to standard operating procedures.
Ensure service operations comply with company policies and applicable government regulations.
Support branch operations, customer service activities, and business development activities.
