About The Position

The AI Transformation Office (AITO), part of AI Core, is Nubank’s central office driving the company-wide AI transformation. It coordinates workstreams spanning function transformation, infrastructure, AI risk, AI cost, and communications, working directly with Nubank’s management team and senior leaders. As a member of a small core team, the Staff Product Operations professional brings first-hand industry experience of how AI functions at a more advanced company. They use those learnings to shape Nubank’s transformation, guide decisions about which AI solutions to build or buy, and organize progress updates for the management team. The role also remains hands-on in unblocking important initiatives. Its impact is to shape the direction, reach, and quality of Nubank’s AI transformation. The position follows a hybrid work model, with employees expected to be in the office at least twice a week on strategic days intended to support team connection and collaboration.

Responsibilities

Shape Nubank’s AI strategy by applying industry learnings to determine priorities, what to stop or expand, sequencing, and an appropriate operating model.
Map internal AI solutions and support build-versus-buy decisions about tools, harnesses, and context layers, including shaping the scope of solutions built in-house.
Structure weekly updates for Nubank’s management team, translating workstream signals into a clear view of progress, risks, and decisions needed.
Set ambitious targets and define KPIs, measures, and mechanisms to determine whether AI initiatives are delivering impact.
Unblock critical initiatives by working with teams to understand and resolve obstacles across functions, without formal authority.
Lead weekly workstream sessions with initiative owners to review gaps, ETAs, and resourcing; connect cross-workstream dependencies and escalate risks early.
