About The Position

The Staff Product Operations role is part of Nubank’s AI Transformation Office (AITO), within AI Core. AITO is the company’s central office for driving its company-wide AI transformation, coordinating workstreams that include function transformation, infrastructure, AI risk, AI cost, and communications, and working directly with Nubank’s management team and senior leaders. As part of a small core team, this person brings first-hand experience from a company further along in its use of AI to help shape Nubank’s transformation. The role influences AI strategy, build-versus-buy decisions, the portfolio and scope of AI solutions, and how progress is communicated to management, while also working hands-on to unblock important initiatives. The role shapes the direction, reach, and quality of Nubank’s AI transformation.

Responsibilities

Shape Nubank’s AI strategy using industry learnings, including identifying what to pursue or stop, how to sequence initiatives, and which operating model fits.
Map internal AI solutions and support build-versus-buy decisions about tools, harnesses, and context layers; help define the scope of solutions built in-house.
Structure the weekly narrative for Nubank’s management team, presenting progress, risks, and decisions needed across workstreams.
Set ambitious targets for AI initiatives and define KPIs, measures, and mechanisms to assess their impact.
Unblock critical initiatives by identifying and resolving barriers across teams and functions without formal authority.
Lead weekly workstream sessions with initiative owners to review gaps, ETAs, and resourcing; connect cross-workstream dependencies and escalate risks early.
