About The Position

As a Staff Product Manager, you will lead strategy and execution for complex products, driving end-to-end outcomes from discovery through value realization. The role requires customer and technical insight, stakeholder collaboration, and ownership of product vision, roadmaps, and lifecycle management. You will influence cross-functional teams, use data-driven decision-making, identify emerging technology opportunities, mentor peers, and advance product management practices while delivering measurable value aligned with business objectives. The Last Mile Delivery team builds platforms and tools that manage millions of weekly deliveries across thousands of pickup points, including express, scheduled, and same-day fulfillment. This role is part of the Last Mile Optimization domain, owning systems that determine delivery capacity needs, positioning, and demand flow through the network. The team balances customer commitments, driver productivity, and operational efficiency by anticipating demand, optimizing capacity, building routes, and refining the delivery network. You will define the optimization architecture linking forecasting, capacity planning, sourcing, trip creation, routing, and real-time execution. In partnership with Data Science and Engineering, you will build forecasting, optimization, simulation, and decisioning capabilities at Walmart scale. You will set objectives and guardrails across speed, reliability, density, utilization, driver experience, and economics; align teams across business functions; guide the transition from rules-based approaches to intelligent systems; and develop reusable platform capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related area and 7 years of experience in product management; alternatively, 9 years of experience in product management or a related area.
  • Strong product judgment in marketplaces, logistics, network optimization, routing, or large-scale decision systems.
  • Ability to connect capacity planning and network execution into a coherent product strategy.
  • Comfort reasoning through multi-objective optimization problems involving competing customer speed, cost, density, and driver experience goals.
  • Ability to translate operational complexity into a clear platform architecture and roadmap for Data Science, Engineering, and Operations.
  • High analytical rigor, including defining objective functions, measuring systems, understanding tradeoffs, and continuously tuning performance.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related area and 6 years of experience as a product manager, ideally on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products.
