About The Position

Fivetran is hiring a Staff Product Manager for Developer Experience to set the strategy for how AI changes the way data practitioners write, debug, and ship dbt code. The role owns the vision, roadmap, and outcomes for the end-to-end developer workflow across the Studio IDE, Developer Agent (an AI coding assistant inside dbt Wizard), Cloud CLI, and dbt VS Code Extension. These products serve tens of thousands of data practitioners, from experienced analytics engineers to newer users who rely on AI to work faster and with confidence. This Staff-level position has broad scope and direct influence on company direction. The Product Manager will partner closely with the Fusion team, which develops dbt’s next-generation compilation and intelligence, shaping how Fusion capabilities become differentiated developer experiences while ensuring developer needs inform the Fusion roadmap. The role calls for a strategic and hands-on leader with a strong interest in AI agents and building them effectively. The successful candidate will define a multi-year strategy and roadmap, set priorities and success metrics, and make investment decisions informed by market insight, customer evidence, and technical judgment. They will lead development of AI-agent experiences, including agentic workflows, multi-step task execution, context management, natural-language interaction, and guided experiences. They will establish principles for trust, transparency, control, and evaluation, and bring a differentiated perspective on developments in AI coding tools. The role also involves coordinating product and platform roadmaps, partnering with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to ship predictably, influencing senior leaders, mentoring product managers, and maintaining close feedback loops with the dbt community and enterprise customers. Success includes establishing an aligned developer-experience strategy; making Developer Agent a differentiated, well-regarded AI coding product; improving developer satisfaction and engagement; coordinating effectively with Fusion; and making the Cloud CLI a first-class product developers actively choose. The position is on a distributed, remote team. The listed pay range is $226,657–$283,322 USD. Benefits include employer-paid medical insurance, paid time away and holidays, parental leave, RSU stock grants, professional development, team activities, a monthly cell phone stipend, and access to a mental health support platform. Benefits may vary by country and worker type.
