About The Position

Ancestry is seeking a Staff Product Manager to lead the cross-functional vision, strategy, and execution for its iOS and Android mobile app within the Activate product organization. The role focuses on evolving the app as a primary channel for customer acquisition, conversion, and retention, especially by helping DNA-first customers move into Family History experiences and subscriptions. They will establish an 18–24 month roadmap, align senior stakeholders around shared outcomes, and use customer research, experiments, and behavioral and quantitative data to improve native mobile experiences. Key outcomes include more in-app subscriptions, repeat 30-day usage, and long-term retention.

  • A track record of optimizing conversion funnels, running experiments, and guiding users across multi-product portfolios or freemium/trial experiences.
  • Proficiency with data analytics tools, defining feature-level KPIs, setting up A/B tests, and combining quantitative data with qualitative research to inform roadmap priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with engineering, design, and analytics partners, navigate technical dependencies, and communicate progress to product management leadership.
