Staff Product Manager I, Base Pricing

Lyft•San Francisco, CA
•$176,000 - $220,000•Hybrid

About The Position

Lyft is seeking a Staff Product Manager for its Base Pricing team, which owns the systems that set base prices for rides across ride types, regions, and ride intents. The pricing system uses machine learning and optimization to predict marketplace responses to price, translate ride-serving costs into prices, and recommend price changes across markets. Base prices underpin every fare and provide the reference point for dynamic pricing and rider discounts. The team serves riders seeking fair, competitive prices that reflect what they value, as well as analysts and market managers who use pricing models and tools to set strategy. The Staff Product Manager will own the vision and roadmap for how Lyft sets base prices and define success metrics. The role works closely with engineers, scientists, analysts, and partner teams to align on a shared vision, set requirements, and prioritize requests. It also communicates roadmaps, experiment results, and pricing decisions to audiences across the company, including executives. The role is hybrid, with employees expected to work in the office three days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Hybrid employees may work from anywhere for up to four weeks per year. The expected base pay range in the San Francisco area is $176,000–$220,000, excluding potential equity, bonus, and benefits.
