About The Position

ŌURA is seeking an exceptional designer to create experiences that help people understand their health and take action. The Design team translates physiology into simple, purposeful experiences, making data understandable and useful. This designer will focus on new sensing features and next-generation hardware, creating experiences across the Oura App and Ring that support understanding and engagement. The role is hybrid and based in ŌURA's San Francisco office.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience designing across a range of digital surfaces, including mobile.
• Experience with wearables, sensors, or connected devices.
• A track record of project leadership, creative thinking, and cross-functional collaboration to influence product features, including 0-to-1 work.
• Mastery of Figma and modern design tools.
• A portfolio demonstrating design thinking, hands-on expertise, and problem-solving skills.
• Open and collaborative communication skills, with the ability to work across disciplines and time zones.

Responsibilities

• Imagine and articulate experiences focused on new sensing features and next-generation hardware.
• Apply human-centered interface principles to design innovative product experiences for the Oura App and Ring.
• Translate ideas into wireframes, prototypes, and refined visual designs that inspire engagement and action.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Science, Research, and Design to build features that deepen context around sleep, activity, stress, recovery, metabolic health, and heart health.
• Ensure features fit seamlessly into the broader app ecosystem and uphold a cohesive, high-quality experience.
