About The Position
CVS Health is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to support the management, oversight, and operation of all aspects of a pharmacy, while helping deliver safe, high-quality, compassionate care. The role includes supporting the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing Pharmacy Technician Support Staff and managing patient safety, professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, personnel, inventory, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow. The Staff Pharmacist helps keep customers and patients healthy through adoption and management of patient care programs. The role also involves developing and motivating pharmacy support staff, identifying business opportunities and implementing solutions to improve growth and performance, adapting to a dynamic community healthcare setting, collaborating to improve outcomes, and contributing to a caring and energetic team culture.
Requirements
- Active pharmacy license in the state of employment.
- Not listed on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
- Immunization certification through an accredited organization, such as APhA.
- No pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree.
Responsibilities
- Support the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing Pharmacy Technician Support Staff.
- Support management, oversight, and operation of all aspects of the pharmacy.
- Oversee patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, and customer service.
- Support personnel management, inventory management, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow management.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs.
- Motivate, inspire, and develop Pharmacy Support Staff by balancing assignments and addressing development opportunities and knowledge gaps.
- Identify business opportunities and contribute to solutions that drive growth and improve pharmacy performance.
- Lead the team in implementing solutions and achieving specified goals.
- Adapt plans to change in a dynamic community healthcare setting.
- Collaborate with others and seek ways to deliver better outcomes.
- Align others around the purpose of the work and contribute to a caring, energetic, enthusiastic, and proud team culture.
